Moon's Day Prompt: write a gratitude poem

opened envelopes

Having an especially trying/discouraging time lately with chronic pain—turning towards gratitude this morning, in poem form. I can’t keep up with gratitude journaling (not interesting enough?), and maybe you are the same. But the practice of gratitude is re-orienting and refreshing and healing. So maybe today is the day to remember a kindness someone showed you, unasked. Sending love into your day today. -Han

p.s. It is very obvious to me that I am reading Lucille Clifton’s gorgeous Collected—feels so good to close out the year with Clifton. Highly recommend (it has a forward by Toni Morrison and a critical afterward by Kevin Young!). https://www.boaeditions.org/products/the-collected-poems-of-lucille-clifton
